The Crisis Cleanup Hotline for flooding in the Midwest is open from now through April 12,2019. Call the number above for help with home cleanup. As they are able, reputable and vetted relief agencies may assist you and your neighbors cut fallen trees, remove drywall, insulation, flooring, furniture, appliances, tarp roofs, etc. All services are free, but service is not guaranteed due to the overwhelming need. NOTE: this hotline CANNOT assist with social services such as food, clothing, shelter, insurance, or questions about FEMA registration. Volunteers work free of charge and provide the tools and equipment necessary to complete the work.
Farmers in need of hay, feed stuffs, fencing materials, volunteer help, equipment, etc. should call the Nebraska Department of Agriculture at: 1-800-831-0550.
NEMA has set up a hotline for general questions from the public: 402-817-1551.
All other needs for assistance should call 211. Emergencies you should dial 911.
